WWII German Tunic Heer Cavalry Waffenrock
Item: GM2482

Heer cavalry or reconnaissance Unteroffizier dress tunic.  It is field grey wool. The collar is a dark hunter green wool.  Tunic is trimmed with golden yellow piping along the edges. The collar has golden yellow wool tabs with machine embroidered silver bullion litzen.  The shoulder straps are sewn in place and have the number "13" embroidered to them in yellow thread.  The buttons are embossed with the number "3". The upper right breast has the national eagle which has hunter green wool backing and is embroidered in silver flat wire.  All the buttons are present.  The interior is lined with a field grey rayon liner which has some fraying to one side at bottom, sleeves have a pinstripe design material. There is an attached belt made from rayon straps with metal hook type buckle.  Has a small slit on left side for attaching a dagger. The tunic has no labels or visible markings.  It measures approximately 16" across the shoulders, 24" shoulder seam to cuff, 26" collar to tail, and 18" across the chest. Condition is pretty good.  There are repairs to the front and wear is evident to the reverse especially near the tail, much of which is concealed by the flap.
